The below animated images show the difference between the NX930 driving lights with and without the clear covers.
The addition of the clear covers increased the spread of the beam substantially, not only down the centre of the road but also out to the sides in the immediate area in front of the vehicle.
While the overall distance does come down from nearly 1500m to 1200m at 1 lux, the overall coverage of the beam is what makes this option incredibly viable.
